For our second annual Bourbon & Bacon Bash, we are changing up last year’s hot event to a slopestyle throwdown. The Sizzler is open to all skiers and snowboarders who want to go all out for the sake of bacon and giveaways. This is a judged event and top finishers will walk away with some great prizes like Plath’s Meats bacon, BOYNE gift cards, and SWAG. The Sizzler will be a fast moving competition with music, an announcer, and various divisions based on the number of entrants. Each rider will get two runs and the opportunity for bonus points by hitting “The Sizzler” bacon feature located at the base of the Lower Heather Terrain Park.
Spectators are welcome so come on out! Join us to watch from the base and enjoy a mouthwatering pig roast and a bar. We will have music, a bonfire, and visits from Huey The Highlands Pup to make for a fun – and sizzling – afternoon on the slopes.

This event will pit racers against one another, in a spectacular double elimination style tournament, based on the racers’ age, gender, and discipline.
Each race heat has four racers on the course at the same time, firing out of their allocated gates when the starting gun bangs – and battling it out on a course that includes banked turns, jumps and other obstacles. Race against your friends and see who the real king of the mountain is. The first one across the finish line wins! The event is open to skiers and snowboarders, and everyone must have a valid lift ticket or pass, helmet, and signed release form.
